Love After live

Suddenly, the entire atmosphere in the room changed. A cold wind swept through the library and the lights flickered wildly. The once roaring fire in the fireplace was reduced to a pitiful mess of smoldering embers. Then, clear as day, Kylie saw a man whom she assumed was Charles Sinclair standing in front of them. He was a tall and handsome figure. His dark wavy hair lay carelessly on his head and his eyes were piercing green emeralds. He was solid yet translucent and he looked furious.
"Wha–what's happening?" Elizabeth stammered.
The spirit box croaked loudly when the sound of his voice boomed through it. In all the years that Kylie had been studying the paranormal, she had never experienced such a clear-cut manifestation of the phenomenon. Barely contained excitement coursed through her body.
"So, you finally decided to acknowledge my presence! Tell me, Mother, have you summoned me to rub in the fact that you have bound me to this endless limbo? That you have managed to ruin my afterlife like you did my life?"
"Charles? It is you; it is really you!" A whirl of emotions overtook the older woman when she heard the distinct voice of her beloved son. His palpable anger had taken her off guard. "Yes, I am here, Mother. Don't act so surprised. After all, you have put me in this predicament." The tone of his voice was unnerving and Kylie swallowed. Why was Charles so angry? What had happened to him? She knew that finding the answers to those questions was the key to freeing him from his tortured limbo.
